My favorite ride at Cedar Point in Ohio - "Top Thrill Dragster". You have to watch this video (at least the beginning).
glimmerIQs - a new book by Dr. Jack Kevorkian

A new book by the recently released from prison Jack "Dr. Death" Kevorkian. On this page you can download his last book Amendment IX in PDF format free of charge.

I'm not sure how I feel about him but I remember constant news coverage in the 90's - before he went to prison for helping terminally ill patients end their lives. Growing up on the Canadian side of the Michigan border I was exposed to the Detroit and Windsor local news plus the US and Canadian national news he generated - quadruple whammy.

In principal I don't disagree with the concept of doctors, in conjunction with family members, assisting a lucid and cognizant terminally ill person who chooses to die. I think that Kevorkian was doomed by his flamboyant disregard for the rule of law in combination with his complete lack of charisma on television and the cause he championed. Some saw him as the anti-Christ but I think that he was the epitome of an anti-charismatic man who picked a tough, albeit noble, cause and paid the price for it. If he were protesting marijuana laws he may have been another Timothy Leary - but he was killing people - a different ball game all together.

A great resource that plots all hurricanes from the past 21 years onto a Google map - including real-time hurricanes.

Very high-resolution panoramic photograph taken of Toronto from the observation deck of the CN Tower. You can see my building if you look at the very right-hand side of the photo, almost equidistant from top and bottom (the curved building with greenish blue glass).

Logos for key cities, mostly from the US, created by shadows of unique structures idiosyncratic to those cities. My city is bottom right - Toronto - formed by The CN Tower, Nathan Philips Square, The Ontario College of Art & Design, and a TTC Streetcar.

I know this product is old news but it's still fascinating stuff. The lightest known solid.
